The Ruckus only has fuel injection in Europe and I think in Japan now too. We still get a carb.

I do....but I suspect your truck also has an ECU, fuel injection and liquid cooling Perhaps better examples would be the brushless alternator and magnetic water pump.

For a couple of years the European version of the zoomer was the most technologically advance production engine from Honda, close loop fuel injection was first used in that Only the most expensive cars have computer controlled fuel pumps The Ruckus/Zoomer does Relay controlled "power and ground" which allows us to use the Brushless alternator/starter I can go on and on, but we have a great little engine in the ruckus, i just wish they put a real suspension and hydraulic brakes on it

Atleast the brakes and suspension you can upgrade....upgrading the motor is a lot tougher.

Can someone tell me what weight the stock roller weights are and if they are the same in the Ruckus and the Metro. I have an 05 Metro that I plan and buying the KN variator for (if Battlescooter ever gets it back in stock) and I would like to know what weights I currently have so that I can plan what weights to get with the variator.
Both me and my wife are North of 230lbs and currently not hitting the rev limiter at top speed. What weights could would recommend I get with the variator? My plan is to get to the rev limiter and then tune with heavier weights until I'm just off of it. This make since?
Battlescooter recommends using the 5.5 gram weights, but I read the response on page 11 where 7 gram weights were recommended for a person of similar weight, and I’m wondering if that is lighter or heavier than what I have. Now I'm second guessing myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I believe stock Ruckus weights were 7.5 or so on the older ones, and 7 on newer ones, while Metro weights are 6 g.

Thanks for the info It really helps to know what people are talking about when they refer to their stock or metro weight. Any direction on where to start my tuning will also be greatly appreciated. Mostly because I'm cheep, I would like to just re-use my stock Metro weights with my new variator and go from there. Can you tell me a good source to order weights from other than Battlescooter? I would like to not have to pay their $15 shipping charge every time I order $20 worth of weights. Thanks Again!

Your local Honda Dealer?
I guess Ron Ayers or Motorcycle-Superstore or something could work, too.

Chanito,
Could have a Ruckus idling while leaned over on the kickstand ever cause an oil starvation problem? I know the oil pump thing is on the right side of the engine and the kickstand is on the left, so having it leaned left would lower the oil level in the right side of the motor. I doubt this would be significant enough to cause a starvation issue but I wanted to get your thoughts.

I can understand your concern about the oil starvation due to the position of the pump, and the little oil capacity of our engines, but the oil pick up is actually in the center of the sump, as the oil has to go through the screen (oil filter) before getting to the pump, so unless the lean is very severe it should be OK, but is never a good idea to keep an engine idling for long at an angle as there are other areas than can be affected by the lean as is the carburetor and fuel pump

Hopefully you can help me out. I recently bought a 2011 Ruckus. I installed a Polini Variator with Dr. Pulley 6 gram slider weights (great purchase). Polini white pulley spring (should of kept the stock one on). Battlescooter's C4U clutch spring (idk if that made a difference). And Battlescooter's K&N drop in filter (decrease in take off but, increase in mid range), also they claim you don't have to re-jet but, I believe they're wrong.
I was wondering what would you recommend for upgrades??? So far I am following "Motoiq's project ruckus". I want to keep the 50cc motor. I would like to cruise at 50 mph (I know it will take a lot of $$$ but this is my project).
Any info would be appreciated. By the way, I am 6' 0" and 210 lbs
