I emailed Phred on monday but no word back yet. I told him he could contact you too though Chanito. I'd say try one more bid on the engine in the dying seconds of the auction...perhaps try 310$ or so.
Chanito: If it helps you free up more $$$ for the engine you can have my old rims and fork legs for free.
Also, what do you think about that idea for a bit higher compression Chanito? Like 13:1?

:-/I thought about it and even talked to some guys who know better than me, and it will require remapping the ECM, as the timing is control by the ECM, expensive and for little gain and more than likely make the engine run hotter and us having to worry about bigger radiators and stuff like that, ok on an all out fast ruckus but marginal for a daily driver  |

Are you going with a milder cam so you wont need to make any head mods like cutting down or removing the valve seals? I asked this on the TR site so if its answered already just ignore.

....so you say but you just bid again on that engine....you're leading the bidding at 308$. What a nail biter. I'm so concerned it's gonna get sniped. It seems like jrcanoe really wants it. I emailed him about your interests but it really comes down to that it's a free world and people can buy what they want and if that's what he wants to do then I'm not gonna hate him or anything just because his interests don't jive with ours.

Chanito, the guy who won that engine also won a Ruckus with an engine that has a 'rod knock' about 3 days ago. I bet he's gonna swap the engines so I contacted him about selling you his old one...could be a good way to one cheap. I've also contacted Pome Ruck cuz he's swaping out a brand new 2006 engine for a 150cc engine right now and I'm still waiting to hear back from Phred.

I'm all about sniping auctions too. I don't see why you'd wanna give anything away. If you bid early it just gives them a chance to think about whether they want to one up your not.

My Interests are the same as yours. I didn't ever bid when Chanito was winning. I will get an xtra engine eventualy and chanito can have any pieces parts he needs for our quest for an ultimate ruckus engine. I need a whole engine because the most I can do is swap moters. I would never take one apart. I need you guys to work out the mechanics. I want the big bore 4valve hopped up engine. In May my warrenty runs out and that would be the earliest I could change moters; But I also would like chanito and Dandy Dan to be ginnie pigs for a while and work any bugs out. |

I was at work, so i could not be in front of the computer, on my free time i posted a winning bid, but when i could go back into the computer the auction was already finish and i did not win anything . I got an answer from Phred and he does not have a crank case, so i have to keep looking

Pome told me that he needs his extra engine for a low rider ruck he's building after his 150cc one. We still have a good shot with Robomods engine though cuz he won a 150cc engine off of ebay and he said we could have his stocker already. We just need to stay in contact with him.
