I think someone from totalruckus might be. There is a thread started that mentioned no bidding on it so you can get it to do the research, but it seems to me that some are just ignoring this.

8-)OK, so here is the plan, i will swap the engine and drive train with DandyDan so he can get the low millage one on his ruckus, i will tear down DD old engine and send the piston and head to WISECO to have them made us the pistons, if we ever get around to have Hadoq sell me the 4 valve piston i will send them that too so they can make a big four valve piston, i wil send COMETIC a set of gaskets and they will make us set of Hi Po ones, And maybe 50ccchick friend can provide us with a CROWER CAM cam for the engine so we can make a nice kit. If i am lucky i can also buy the wheels and the right side handle, so we can have a set of aluminum wheels made in the right size 3x10 and a hidraulyc front disc and fork kit, every thing bolt on with nothing else to buy, and if i get around to it i will finish the exhaust and hopefully made more power than stock There you go, me day dreaming again

are we gonna get the O.S pistons done w/ 2 valves or 4?

I am hoping for both, but as of now the 2-valve vertion

Yeah it's best to start with 2V cuz it's a much cheaper and simpler job but if you want the ultimate Ruckus eventually you gotta go 4V. I think I'm gonna buy a 2V piston and get that installed and then later when I convert to 4V I won't have to do any boring I can just bolt the new piston in the same time I bolt the new head on.

i like that idea, ill go with 2 valve for now, and then go over to 4 valve if need be, b/c the 4 vavle conversion is prolly expensive

Hey here's a potential piston: Wiseco makes 41mm bore pistons for the Honda Z50R, XR50 and CHF50F. These are honda Pistons so it's likely the connecting rod interface is the same, and they're 4-strokers with 2 valves (I think) so the cutouts may work. The compression ratio on these bikes is 11.1:1 vs our 11.9:1 so it likely won't mess things up too bad. I don't really know much about boring though so an expert needs to come on here (Chanito) and give their thoughts. If they work you'd have about a 58cc bike.
Dandy, you posted that on the other thread, will these pistons work, it would save us that whole getting pistons cumstom made and such forth?

since we know now the max is about 58.5 cc's, these should work well if they fit............

:)Yes that is the engine i am hoping to buy, the pistons will be custom design to fit our water cooled engines, air cooled engines expand more than water cooled ones so they use piatons with more clearance, and they are noisey on a water cooled engine, and beside they will design the top of the piston to match our engines so we will not have too high a compression ratio, if everything goes ok we can bore out that engine so we can just swap the blocks with the big piston already installed, and all you have to do is install your head and send back the lower part of the engine to be prepare for the next guy

Could Wiseco make a higher compression piston made for 93 octane gas instead of 87? Would this give us a little more umph?

Now what exactly is being bidded on? As I can tell, all of these auctions end within a few minutes of each other, so how are we going to make sure Chanito gets what he needs? And there seems to be a lot of items being bid on by just a couple of people. Might be a case of the seller upping the bids with his friends or fake ID's? Not to accuse anyone of that.

What Chanito needs is the auction for the complete engine. Right now it's just over 100$ which is way higher than any of the other auctions (cuz it's by far the best piece). It could be a case of the seller upping it but I doubt it because some of the bids are by people we know ie. Jrcanoe who is on here and Total Ruckus recently placed the 100$ bid only to be outbid by someone else so right now it's at 102.50$ I think.

There was an engine similar to this one a few months ago on ebay, did anyone see it or remember how much it sold for?

The auction went all wierd. I think he wasn't getting the price he wanted or something but I think it got cancelled and then he tried to break it down into pieces etc. but no one was really buying them, maybe the starting bid was kinda high. Anyways, I think someone on here got the engine for super cheap like 70$ including shipping to his door. I'll check for the thread in the classfieds section...For some reason I think it was Phred.

Yeah, Squirminator/Phred 501 got is for 60$ plus 10$ shipping in late August. I wonder if he's still got a use for it or if he'd sell it.

Most of the items are on auto bidding so as soon as you post a bid it automatically raise it and beat you, the only item i could bid on is the front hub, i will try tomorrow as the closing aproach, but it looks like somebody needs those parts really bad I might have to look for those parts somewhere else, DD do yo still have a set of spare wheels and forks? would you sell them to me? I also would have to pester Phred about his engine
