I will sell the kit which includes the gaskets, i do not believe anyone else makes a gasket that will fit the big bore piston, i have them custom made by Cometic and will include the gaskets needed for an engine overhaul, The pistons should be here next week, i do not have a delivery date for the gaskets yet, but it should be soon ;D

Any motorcycle shop that's decent should be able to bore it for you. My local shop is charging me $68 Cdn. Out of curiousity; which shop are you getting, to do it for you?

Hey cool to see you're from Kitchener...I'm getting it done at Cycle Improvements which is on Northfield in Waterloo. I went in there and talked to them about it already and they said it would be no prob. Are you gonna do this? I can give you a hand if you want....

Zoomzoom, if you're doing this too maybe we can work together, finding a good machine shop, etc. Also, I can get the gaskets and stuff for a rebuild at 10% off. Plus we can just put in one order to Chanito (??) No, I definitely wouldn't try to get it for any less, I know Channy's put a ton of work into this and it's worth the price. The machining setup for two blocks would be a lot cheaper though. Any other lower mainland ruckers my also find it worth their while to ship their cases to wherever the work gets done, especially if a ood shop is found. I'm sure something similar could be done in ON?

Yeah I'm thinking of getting it done, but I personally won't go there again. I've had nothing but bad experience with Cycle Improvements, so I'll find another shop that can do it for me. I went there to get some custom cables made for my Volusia; and that turned out to be a disaster. Fraying within a week, snapping on me within a month(properly adjusted too). I took my bike in for an oil change, when they were giving out a free change when you buy oil+filter a couple years ago, and they drained all my gas on me and denied it. James is a dink and a half. I hope they treat you good, or I'll have to burn their shop down.

Thanks for the info...personally I've only heard good things but I'll keep my eyes open.
Another shop that does it in the area is Two Wheel Motorsport outside guelph. They seem like they'd be a bit more expensive but it can't be that bad if you're planning on tearing down your engine yourself. I've already torn my engine down once back when I had a 2003 to replace the crankshaft so I'm familar with it all and I've got tools like the flywheel puller that you can borrow if you need to.

Two Wheel is where I got my Ruck. Riding back into K/W on Hwy7 sure was fun! I like those guys. I don't have any experience with their service department yet, but I've known those guys for a long time and they've always been great to me.
I'd probably be more willing to pay a couple more bucks and have them do it.
I've torn apart many an engine in my day, heck I'm drinking coffee out of a '68 hemi piston right now; so I don't think I'd have much of a problem tearing down the Ruck if I had the little specialty tools.

Cool stuff, make sure you post your results. I know another guy who just bought a 2006 Ruckus in Waterloo and another guy outside Waterloo (elmira) bought my 2003 off me so there's starting to become a few in my area.
KW Honda told me they've sold about 15 since 2003 and 2 wheel probably sells at least that so there's probably about 30 in the KW area. I've seen a red one in Cambridge once plus 1 more at my university (U of waterloo) sometimesand another one in St. Jacobs. If you ever see me I'm the guy with a white 2006 Ruckus, Yosh exhaust, extension kit and aftermarket pretty much everything but rims.

Two Wheel said they've sold almost a dozen this year. With gas prices about to sky-rocket for May-24 weekend; they'll probably keep selling them too. They still have an old camo '04 that's brand new and nobody's taken it yet. Looks so lonely.
I've seen a red one and a black one popping around downtown Kitchener. I start my new job out of Brampton on Monday, so who knows if I'll ever see the wonderful UofW area(oh the hotties) any time soon.

Looking good. Now we need to make a list of thing that will be required to do once we get our engines bored out. I quess one of them will have to rejet the carb and maybe also need to get a cdi. I'm sure there's something else I'm not thinking about right now...Oh yeah...must work longer hours to pay for all this.

Rejetting the carb will be a must, provably cutting the spring too, but i rather get the metro gears than a CDI With any luck we can achieve the 50mph Ruckus ;D ;D
