Is there any chance the valves will hit the piston if I use the H.O. cam since the piston is high compression? i doubt it since they do not hit the stock one, and they will keep the valve relieves the same, but i will ask them to make sure and give anyone with a HO cam peace of mind

I believe the kit is 220$ if I recall correctly which gets you the big bore piston (58cc) which has a special slick coating and it's high compression (use 91+ gas) and it comes with a high perf. headgasket, rings, seals, sealant etc....basically everything you'll need. Then it's up to you to either take your scoot to a shop or disassemble the engine yourself and just bring the case in for boring (about 60$).
To place an order you just contact Chanito via a PM or via his email (Chanito27@bellsouth.net) to make sure you have a sport as there are only 24 being made and once that's confirmed you just paypal him.

welcome to the board Leadfoot ;D Sorry but i have being busy with the races this and last weekend, but today is the last one and then i will be back, Wow! that prototipe race was really good last night ;D ;D Anyway back to topic, the pistons will be here in a couple of weeks, they will have a 12.5 to 1 compression, so in case we get some agresive cams it will not touch the valves, they will have a nice polish top and should work great, i know they will look really nice

Sound good! Is 12.5:1 high for a motorcycle? Like would it be higher than a CBR600? or a Yamaha R6?

Hey, cool story, Malossi makes a 40.3mm piston for a two stroke, unfortunately nothing for a four.
Its on SIP, under motorbike 50-500, all, all , tuning, racing and cylinder parts

Too bad pistons are so specific....A 2 stroke piston won't have the valve cutouts etc that we'd need. Wiseco makes 41mm pistons for the Honda 50cc 4-stroke dirt bikes (CRF50) but even those are too different to use.
We need our pistons to connect properly to the rod, have the proper cutouts for our valve sizes/lift and sparkplug and have proper compression.

...and they need to weight exactly what the stock piston does or our balance will be off.

They are getting closer, the price might go up a little but not much, acording to the technical drawings they should look great, and if their engineerring live up to their reputation, the performance should be incredible ;D ;D

Zoomzoom, if you're doing this too maybe we can work together, finding a good machine shop, etc. Also, I can get the gaskets and stuff for a rebuild at 10% off. Plus we can just put in one order to Chanito (??)

I think you'll need the custom headgasket that Chanito had made to accomodate the larger bore. The rest of the seals/gaskets seems like a pretty small portion of the price and Chanito may be hesistant to give you a break because he's probably already ordered 24 of everything.
I do think working together is a good idea though...if you guys got together you could share tools (ie flywheel puller and torque wrench) and tips plus double check your work. Any motorcycle shop that's decent should be able to bore it for you. My local shop is charging me $68 Cdn.

Plus we can just put in one order to Chanito (??) Yeah we could order ours at the same time and save on shipping for sure. I'm not sure when I will actualy get it done though but I was thinking about getting in touch with the guys at Kenco, up in Sooke. They should be able to line us up with a machine shop since they get someone to do thier boreing for them. Anyway I just want my piston in case this is the only batch made. I don't have a shop to work in though...well not yet anyway.
