I purchased (from someone locally) a new foot peg assembly. It mounts at the front of the foot board and makes for a very comfortable ride. Just thought I pass the info along...if you're interested, I can email pics

Funny because I was gonna ask about this. There is a set on eBay now for $49. I emailed the seller asking if he made them himself (thinking group buy). Has anyone hear fabricated thier own? I told him about these forums and we like custom stuff and about my new Battlescooter kickstand... He wrote back... Hi, no I didn't make these myself. I had seen them on some scooters at a local rental place and the owner told me who made them for him. I contacted him and bought one. I was pretty pleased with them and did try to make them, but found the parts and pieces (especially the grips) were harder to find than I thought. I approached the gentleman about marketing them and he really didn't want to be bothered, so I thought I'd try them out on Ebay...just to see what kind of interest it would generate. I have had several inquiries. I did pay more then $49.99, but he gave me the second pair for a lower price just to see how they would sell. Thanks for the email..let me know if you have any more questions. Have a great New Year!

Hey I just realized that mypasttyme is the guy I was talking to from eBay. Hey, can you set up a group buy (if there is enough interest)? Like if we buy 10 (I'd like 2) we get them at a cool price? What is the regular price? What would he sell them for if he could sell 10 fast?

I think Honda Japan makes them and also a few rip off Japanese/Taiwan companies. They basically lift your feet up 2 inches (sharper knee angle), forward a few inches (slacker knee angle) and out several so the actually angle of your knee is pretty identical. I imagine it wouldn't feel much different than just having your feet on the floorboard except now your legs are in the wind. I guess I don't see them being more comfortable and I don't like the look plus they are expensive and will slow you down slightly (legs are more exposed and a bit of weight) so I can't really think of a good reason to get them. If they seem comfortable or cool to others then go for it though.

Thanks for all of your interest! Motherruckas was kind enough to post my pics. I purchased my first one for $60; I talked to the guy I bought them from and he said that $48.00 was the best he could do, if I bought 3 or more at one time. Shipping would depend on location..I had calculated around $8.00 due to the weight and SOON TO BE increase in postage. Thanks again ...HAPPY NEW YEAR

this is off topic but about the weight, dandy dan, is the frame brace plus fiberglass tank cover heavier or stock plastic flooboard?

The frame brace alone seems like it would weigh more than the whole floorboard. If you chop off the front of your floorboard and keep the rear half plus add the brace and the gas tank cover I'd guess you'd be adding a couple lbs.

oh icic, wells back to topic, i also think that the foot pegs aren't that useful, coz to relax i place my feet on the edge of the floorboard right beside the battery box on both sides. the problem is that my feet keep slipping off, it would be nice to add some rubber grips to line that part of the floorboard

I'm not a big fan of forward pegs also, just doesn't look right on a scooter IMO. I really like my rear pegs though and that's where I plant my feet all the time now.

"coz to relax i place my feet on the edge of the floorboard right beside the battery box on both sides".
That's what we do too. Being short (woman sized) makes it easy.

I too plant my feet there at times as I like to change positions after awhile but my rear pegs are cats "edit profanity".

"cats "edit profanity"" Does that mean good/ your favorite? Never heard that saying before. I heard the cat's meow but never his ...
Ok judging from your previiuos post, it means your favorite riding position.
I wander how that saying came about.

Very good question. I'm not sure where it comes from but for as long as I can remember, that term was used a lot, maybe it's a canadian thing. Any which way... it means it's great, awesome, I like it, etc...

I heard the Cat's "edit profanity" term used in the Cannonball Run movie by Jackie Chan's character, I think, something like this Night Vision is the cat's "edit profanity". It amused me.
I saw that thing on ebay, thought it was nifty, but I still think I could make something like that... of course, then I remember I'm lazy...

I really like the cruiser seating position better than the sport bike seating, so having the cruiser pegs seems like a good idea, but i would like the pegs farther forward, i like having my feet resting on the edge of the floorboard like motherruckas does ;D ;D
