I guess you've discovered who lives in the Batcave The winshield's maiden voyage was a total success That little piece of plastic added between 2 & 3 mph to my hill climbing ability and my top speed. I was on a slightly hilly 35mph road doing 40 and an unmarked car pulled out behind me so I ACTUALLY HAD TO SLOW DOWN Doctavius delivered a great looking exhaust shield today for the big Ruck, will post pix under Big Ruckus..

The shield goes on fairly easy, but you need to be a little bit creative with the little brake clamps that hold the bottom of the shield to the headlight loop. You need a pliers and a little bit of ingenuity to shape the clamps to the curve of the bottom of the shield. The speed increase really amazed me ;D Now I need to get the shield installed on the Big Ruck

I really like the looks, size and scale of the windshield. It is way bigger than the OEM which has got to be for looks only. I still wonder if it is big enough to keep bugs out of your teath. I don't want or need a windshield right now but know I will when it gets cold. At 6 ft tall and no desire to ride bent, I doubt there is a windshield big enough without dwarfing the Ruckus. How far do you have to bend forward to get you head out of the wind ? or are you just getting you body out ?

You're getting your gut out of the wind for sure and most of your chest. Your head is definately not covered but you can tuck totally behind the windscreen if you wish (ie: flash rain or a big truck coming the other way). Mine totally paid off today when a bird dropped a huge turd and it splatted all over my screen. I was going 40mph and it would have destroyed my shirt. The blast was about 4" across. You'd have a wierd looking scoot if you got one big enough to get your head out too. I bet this guy goes 30mph max.

I put a stock Honda Reflex shield (tall but aerodynamically shaped, instead of the "barn door" shown in the photo above) on my Ruckus and lost 2 mph. The Chanito Motorsports unit gained it back plus 1-2 mph additional. But it doesn't protect the head. However, the buffeting is minimal at the speeds I can achieve, compared to the Reflex or a motorcycle.

Yeah that pic is off the battlescooter site. Maybe I should have said so. Anyways, I just thought I'd post that I traveled 186km (111miles) on my first full tank of gas before the gas light came on. I thought this would be a bad tank because I did more city driving recently (I'm usually 80% commuting time) but to my delight I set a new record for fuel economy. The last 4 tanks prior to that I averaged 176km (105miles) with the highest tank being 182km. I think 200km is possible if I do just commuting on a tank.

Yep, that big shield dwarfs that poor ruckus and looks silly. The Chanito Motorsports shield looks to me to be in perfect perportion to the Ruckus. I think I would prefer to look silly in a full face helmet and have ITIC look beautiful or hansom ( I still haven't decided if ITIC is a boy or girl yet) in winter clothing.

It is tinted, it looks more tinted in real life than it does in that pic though.

There can't be many left...2 or 3 I'd guess. Once they're gone they may be gone forever.
