The BIG windshield in that photo looks horrid. God bless him, I hope he isn't on the forum and reading my comment but that windshield is whacked. Whacked!!!!
Dandy Dan, your avatar is cool. It looks like you are part of a mod modeling brigade but what is it really?

The shield goes on fairly easy, but you need to be a little bit creative with the little brake clamps that hold the bottom of the shield to the headlight loop. You need a pliers and a little bit of ingenuity to shape the clamps to the curve of the bottom of the shield. Can someone (Ted or anyone else who got one) explain this a little more to me. I'm on the verge of getting one, but I want to know what I need to put this thing on correctly. Thanks. h*r

Oh it's really not a big deal. You just give it a bit of a twist with some pliers. An ape could do it....get the screen.

Youre damn right I want one. If theyre's only a couple left then shoot one my way. Does Chanito have them or do I need to order from Battlescooterstore.com?

Chanito made them himself. Just send him a personal message. The Battlescooterstore.com sells windscreens too but they aren't as cool and they are more expensive.

Update: The 4 tanks of gas I used previously to the windscreen (primarily driving in a tuck) were 175km (before light came on), 181, 185 and 177 for an average of about 180km (112miles roughly). Since then I've put three tanks of gas on and I didn't think I'd do very well because I did more city driving than usual and I doubled another person a bit. However, these 3 tanks were 187, 191 and just today 200km for an average of about 193km (120miles) I think I should be able to net 200km (133miles) before the light comes on regularly under good conditions. My mods that help my milage include the windscreen, michelin bopper tires at 35psi and a taller max gear ratio. I've also done engine mods (cam, intake, cdi etc) but I don't think these help much.

My husband put mine on today. It is so awesome. I am amazed at how Chanito came up with such a cool way to mount it. It is high quality too. I am glad I jumped on this opportunity. I will post some photos soon.

Will do. It's funny the post from the west coast is faster than the post going north and south. I ususally get stuff from west in 4-5 days but it always takes longer from the east coast and southern states. weird huh?

How long did the BSS shipment of dio parts take? It seems to me like you just get unlucky out in Erin. If I remember right my windscreen took 4-5 business days and I live pretty close to you. Hopefully you get it today.

Hopefully you get it today. I think it is my local postman. I got my windshield today. I've checked my mailbox every day this week and today a "failed delivery" post shows up in my mail box dated the 3rd of Aug. I've been home all week and 2 days later the notice shows up in my mailbox Thanks chanito it looks great, was packaged extremely well and came with great instructions!! Can you count all the changes???
