Sorry to say but, anything but crap hop Chuck Whoa now man, thats really not an informed statment.... SpearHead, 2-Pac, Jurassic 5, The Pharcyde, The BeastieBoyz, Public Enemy to name a few...Listen to the lyrics and you'll understand. Hell 2-Pac was Marvin Gay incarnate, all of Spearheads albums revolve around crediable social and spirtiual topics and I shouldn't even have to talk about what Public Enemy did in the 80s/90s....

I'm surprised that you didn't include Mr. Marshall Mathers in your list of hip hop lyrical geniuses. Yeah he does have some songs about shallow/crude stuff but he has a ton of brilliant material lyrically and even the shallow songs are generally very well worded (with exceptions).

Sorry but I cant give EM&EM the time of day. I think he is just Dennis the Menace with Turets syndrome. Although he may have the odd song where he can actually put together some sentences, his women hating crap destroys any crediblility he may have had.
My 2 cents Ruckass

Yeah, my dad made me grow up listening to country, until I was old enough to change the radio station, and stand up to him afterwards.

Old country like Merle Hagard, Willy Nelson, Hank Williams or Waylon Jennings that I can listen to, rather happily, but that "Young" country or should I call it "Pop" country, the majority of the stuff out today is just worthless!
