No worries, Larry. My Ruckus is an 04 with just a polini variator, and my brother's is an 04 that's stock. So, you might get left behind on straighaways at times, like my brother, but if you can ride in curves, you shouldn't have trouble keeping up. And not all of us ride flat-out. Skuuter's wife for one isn't too fond of just pegging the throttle and leaving everyone behind. No worries.

Oh, I forgot. Skuuter and his wife's are stock '07s (minus mainly cosmetic and storage mods and windsheilds) and riverruckus' is a stock '06 (that's unusually fast) So, actually, plenty of us will be running mostly stock ruckii.

No worries Larry....my 07 is bone stock in the engine dept. Not even a real impressive running 07, my 06 (now owned by riveruckas) was a lot faster. No one really gets left behind, and riveruckas hubby sweeps the rear on a big ruckus....... ;D Anyone riding faster up ahead is primarily due to rider experience, not horsepower. Besides it's not a race, just a Rally. Come on down, you will have a great time and meet some of the best Ruckus folks you can imagine..... ;D

I dunno, I've been to Atlanta several times for the NOPI Nationals... and Atlanta is never as bad to drive through as Charlotte. There might be a lot more people on the roads down there, but their roads are a lot better set up. Ha Ha, I have never been to Charlotte, but i've been to Atlanta on a regular weekend and pass thru there in the Nascar race weekend and is Crazy Atlanta on a regular weekend = tropical storm Atlanta on Nascar weekend = Class 5 Hurricane believe me i have been thru a couple of hurricanes and plenty of tropical storms, not even close

Yeah, but Hotlanta has a better road system than Charlotte does. Much, much better.

Hi everybody! New to the forum and wanted to just say hi and check in to get the details on the fall ride...husband and I want to bring our "Rucki" and join in. We live about 2 hrs. from the Smokies, so I'd love to get info. on the dates, place to be, time to be there, etc. Since I teach high school, we'd be coming in on a Friday evening and hope to ride on Saturday. If you have info. on suggested hotels, etc., please let me know so I can make some plans. Thanks a bunch!

;DThis ride is going to be great, i will arrive Friday, as i have to spend the whole day driving from south Florida, the ride on Saturday is the one up to the tail of the dragon, it is great. Sunday we climb up to the Clingman dome (highest point in TN) and sunday afternoon we start the ride back to Miami. At least that is how we did it last year

*LOL* At first, when I read that...I thought we were "all" riding back to Miami. Glad I realized you meant you are heading home. I was like, "I don't think I can make it that far on a Ruckus!" OK, Thursday I am gonna call Docks Motel and request a room, etc. Thanks for the update on the dates, etc. That will work for us. We will just be getting back the weekend before that from our 3 yr. anniversary trip to Las Vegas. Hopefully, we'll still have enough money left to pay for gas to drive to Townsend. *LOL*

Congrats on the Anniversary. The Wife and I are going up to Docks this Saturday on the Gold Wing, then the owners are following us back down to where we live on their BMW on Sunday..... ;D Kami, still wanting to bring the Rucks up once before the Fall Ride....I'll let you know. I hope to work in the Motor Nature Trail this year. Parson's Branch Road (the gravel one that came out on the Dragon) has been closed again for a while, so maybe substitute this with breakfast at Bennett's Bar-B-Q......... ;D Chanito......"Shirt Design Coming".............

That Parson's branch road was one of the hilites of the ride, with the streams and the road thru the woods. Well i know you say the motor trail was a good one so is somethibg to look forward to. Waiting on those drawings It could be opened again before then, but just in case, I'm gonna' have some other options available........ ;D DRAWINGS....Yeah, I know. I've had a terribly busy year...no excuse, I guess, but too many things goin' on at one time. Close to winding up some things.... ;D
