For 2007 Yamaha is bringing to Canada and the USA a scooter called the C3 which is known is Japan as the VOX. It's a 50cc 4-stroke that's got 3 valves and Fuel Injection. It's also got a ton of storage space which would be super handy but it looks like your sitting on a cooler. I think it would look a lot better with a foot shaved off it's butt (take your thumb and cover the storage behind the seat...that looks much better). It still looks better than the Vino though. Anyways, the price is pretty much the same as the Ruckus, $2600 in Canada and $1999 in the USA. Conviently, the Ruckus makes more power than the C3 so we've finally got another scoot (other than the 2006 Vino 50) we should be able to smoke off the line. The C3 makes 2.8 ft-lbs of torque at 6500 RPM where as the pre-06 Ruckus's made 3.35ft-lbs at 7000rpm and the 06's are higher than that...probably 3.5-4 ft-lbs. I wonder if the C3 has a removable cyclinder for big bore kits? Anyways, without further ado here are the pics. These are the 2 colours it comes in for 2007. It's available in November:

BTW, notice the dual drum brakes which are a step backwards for Yamaha. Also, the whole front end pivots with the steering which is interesting. I guess it'd be good to have your headlight pointing around the corner. One nice feature is that the handlebars are attached via a clamp much like the $82 clamp from Battlescooter so you can replace them on a whim. The rims are nicer than the Ruckus ones too but that front fender needs some work. It looks like something you'd see on a kids tricycle.

Man...that scoot is "Fugly"!
Kind of looks like an old Cushman scooter with that body work. Any idea on how that back end opens? It looks like we are seeing the hinges in the side view. And what's up with that "hump" in the center? Reminds me of the back seat floor of an old Buick my parents had.
Sorry to bash a new scoot, but I'll hold out for the naked version.

It opens from one side just like a cooler and yeah that's the hinges we're seeing. Here's a shot from the other side: Personally, I don't think it looks that bad. Even with the ghetto booty I'd still rather be seen on this than a Zuma. Here's some more pics (check out yamaha-motor.com for more). Apparently you'll pick up hot skater chicks with this scoot (who look like they've never touched a board): Which I doubt considering it doesn't even go more than 40mph: I wish they had a shot from behind showcasing it's massive rear end. Since they don't here's a cynical look at a few more of it's specs: - Only 2.2" of travel in the rear (Ruckus has 2.6") - Porky at 187 pounds (Ruckus is 181...mine's about 170) - Measly 4.5" of ground clearance (Ruckus = 5"?) - 12:1 compression ratio (Ruckus is 11.9:1 BUT the Chanito Big Bore Pistons are 12.5:1 ) - Only 1.2 gallon gas tank (Ruckus is 1.3 ;D ) - Girly 120/90 Rear Tire (Ruckus is 130/90-10) - Top heavy with a 29" seat height (Ruckus is 28.9") - Wussy 2.8 ft-lbs of torque (Ruckus is about 3.5 ft-lbs)

No, it defenitely doesn't look as good as a modded ruckus. But if you wanted it to look like that other thing, i think you could mod it to look like it, if that makes sense. But who wants theirs to look like that??? It kind of looks like that cooler on wheel thing. You should post those two side by side.

I read ya...yeah you could mod your Ruckus to look like that...get the single headlight like Robomod has and then all you'd need to do is modify an old cooler to slip on the back. If you cut the front and bottom of it'd slip on and then you could just tape your seat on the top of that I'm not sure what you mean by that 'cooler on wheels' that you want posted side by side? Do you mean that white Ruckus with a giant cooler/box hanging off the back for delivering stuff?

Infringement alright...even the hinges are on the same side.
At least the real cooler doesn't need a center-stand. Too bad it doesn't have the faux upside-down forks like the Yami. I guess the biggest fear is the "cooler" scoot wouldn't attract obvious poser skateboard ladies, but more of the big gut beer drinking crowd.

It could be Scooter Girl and skateboard Guy!. Hey! No defending the enemy! If you go to Yamaha-Motor.com you can see quite a few pics and they give a pretty strong vibe the guy rolled up on the scooter.

I like it... though that blue one looks like an H2 Hummer... especially the logo on the side... The only thing I think could improve it is if they totally ripped off the Big Ruckus seat for it.

The 'C3' logo does look just like the 'H2' on a hummer and probably like the 'H3' on the new smaller hummers.

Yeah, I'm suprised they didn't put twenty inch wheels on it to make it look retarded, like the H2.
At least they didn't make it look all offroad worthy but it's really not (ouch)
