The legroom looks atleast as tight as the Ruckus...probably tighter...big guys are going to have to sit all the way at the back of that seat.

On the upside: 1) That C3 is SO UGLY!!! Yamaha wont sell any of them which means more Rucki on the Road 2) The reason it doesnt have disks is b/c 4 strokes are more expensive to make than 2 strokes, so its good to see the ruckus is value for our money 3) Id rather drive a BW than that ugly piece, the best would be an aprilia RS 50, but id settle for an SR50, either or

See, I think that looks way better than a Zuma.
Plus this has something going for it that Zuma's don't, this thing looks different. And it fits the utilitarian model everyone's keen on at the moment.
Besides, every chinese knockoff looks exactly like a Zuma, and nobody wants to look like a cheap clone.

I'm with Kami, not everything about the design works...some of it looks wierd like the big butt and the ugly fender...but it's a lot more fresh than the Zuma which is essentially just a low budget version of the Aprilia's. The Zuma looks like a million other scooters where as the C3 is atleast a fresh design which is rare in the scooter world. Other than the C3 and Ruckus, every scooter either looks like a Vespa or a tiny plastic sport bike.

I'll be the sole defender of the ugly thing. If you're looking for something purely practical, this could be good. I use my Ruckus 99% of the time for two things:
(1) commute to work (2) grocery runs
Ruckus is great for #1, not so hot for #2. If you don't care about aesthetics and aren't too worried about squeezing out the best possible performance from your 49cc vehicle, the storage space makes it very attractive.
Besides, we need guys riding around on these to make us look that much cooler. ^_^

I respect Yamaha quite a bit for the C3. From reading on Yamaha forums, a lot of Yamaha folks aren't thrilled but when you ignore the looks of it then the step forward is huge. Consider:
- the MSRP is unchanged (from what the Zuma was) - now has fuel injection - liquid cooled - 3 valves - way more storage space - way more unique design...and looks better than the Zuma
And the only step backwards is the loss of the front disc brake. I don't think this scooter looks terrible but it doesn't have the 'it' factor like the Ruckus does which is probably a bad thing because I wouldn't mind seeing more scooter sales in North America even if they are the enemy.
Anyways, I think the C3 will do fine because I think people are tired of looking like they're on a mini-sport bike (Zuma) that only does 40mph. Scooters are cool enough now that people don't mind embracing it as a full fledged scooter and saying 'so what it's slow, it's a blast to drive and super cost effective'. The C3 doesn't need to pretend to be something it's not.

The SR50 is so nice...I'd love to steal those 13" five spoke rims, PC em black and run em with 130/60 tires....drool.
BTW, the Yamaha Vino and C3 share the same engine which DOES have a removable cylinder. As a result, JiangWayne already has a 70cc kit posted for them...lucky chaps.

The new vino, the 4 stroke hmmm, anyone else thinking SWAP!!!!! haha, no need with the overbore piston!!!! A note on the SR 50, a chick in town has one, the forks looked pretty close to 27mm from what i could see, the rims looked similar too, the rear is a disc though, which could pose problems However the Zuma rear rim is 5 spoke as well, my dad may let me try this as we have to pull of his exhaust anyways to put on the aftermarket one

I though about doing this because they have nice forks I'm sure and the rims are stylish and 13" but I'd need to paint them black. The real catch is the rear wheel because it probaly doesn't fit on our axle and you'd need to do some major customizing to get the disc caliper mounted. I can't stand rims that don't match and I definately can't stand a sexy 13" rim up front with an ugly 10" rim in the rear. I'm planning to go with black, 6 spoke Dio rims with inverted/lowered BMF forks.

I think i could manage to get the front forks in there. Dio's would be alright too though...... man i need part #'s for those so i can see if i can get a deal on em
