Hi gagetgirl, The slipstreamer model i have is the Universal Model CF40, it is very similar in design to the Japanese one except that it doesn't have the lower bevelled portion. If you were to fit the windshield onto the frame as i have but beneath the side lights then you would probably have the right height. I am 5' 11" and i just comfortably look over the top of the screen. By mounting below the side light brackets you would have lots of room for adjustment. Here is the detail photo for your easy reference.

Sorry tedsmini, i didn't intend to plagiarize your insructions that you originally sent to me , that is why i left your name on the info and put it in qoutation marks. I didn't know whether you were monitoring this thread and was only trying to help Leek without having to re-write the whole thing. While we are in contact can you tell me how to place the smilies on my posts and how do i quote box replies. When i click on the smilies nothing happens and i also tried dragging them onto my post to no avail.

Silverwind, you know I was totally kidding (ergo the laughing emoticon) I was just posting the pix answer when you beat me to it Quicksdraw I am glad you have joined our little family as you make interesting posts and contributions. You have given me insight as I have both Rucki. I don't know why you can't post emoticons, I will look into it. Look on the bottom toolbar above the emoticons, second box to the right. It looks like a plate and cup but it is the quote brackets. Cut your phrase and paste between the brackets. I am also considering the leg shields, I already have the slipstreamer (given to me by Teshlu ) and now I need to get off my bottom and mount it: your pix will help, thanx, tedsmini (there are four boxes below the message box when you post: make sure none of them are cked, especially the second one down it blocks emoticons)

SW: If you are 7ft tall, where do you put the rest of your legs when your feets are on the rests?? I feel cramped at 6' I was considering highway pegs to stretch out)

I just feel the need to point out to ya, Ted, that the username is "Silverwin d" not "Silverwin g". I'm a stickler, sometimes...
I fixed my faux paux and pooped I can change what you write in my posts!

I also have the Slipstreamer windshield on mine and my wifes ruckus, it is the Spitfire model. It clamps to the handlebars and can be moved up and down depending on your height. My wife is only 5' 2" and it works great for her. Maybe someone can tell me how to post pics and I will get it done. Hey Leek, can't wait to see the photos of both the leg shields and the Spitfire windshield. Good luck getting the images posted -- you'll do it!

I am waiting for Leek to post photos of the other Slipstreamer windshield -- the spitfire. It looks good too -- at least on Slipstreamer's website. I want to see it on the Big Ruck.

Hi tedsmini, yes i realised that you were only kidding, glad that my info has been of some help, i think this forum is really great for sharing our collective experience and hard won knowledge. Please let me know if you can find the solution to my smilie and qoute box problem. I see the box you refer to but it seems all i can do is copy to the clipboard and then i get a URL All very frustrating, maybe there is somebody out there with a Mac that could provide some answers.

Let's see . . . I use a Mac, and will try using some smilies. See if it works ;D Yep, it worked when I previewed the post. Silverwind, it looks like when you are writing the post, the smilies only appear as symbols. However, once you actually post, the symbols appear to turn into the actual smilies (or at least they did when I previewed). We'll see what happens when I officially post this.

Nice photo Leek. Can you take one from the rear so that I can see the "inside" of the legshield?
Also, can you post photos of the Spitfire windshield?

OK, so my pictures are huge, oh well hope you can see all three and see how the guards look. They do a good job, went for a ten mile ride @ about 37 degrees and between the guards and the electric gloves and jacket liner I was comfy.
