Sadly mi amigo, those are about 5 times too big, the quarter they use for sizing is still smaller than the opening, a quarter is about 24 mms, the intake runner is about 16mm, and ideally you would want the turbo to be slightly smaller 15mm sounds about right, plus you will want the turbo to be as close to the head as possible, and that would create cooling problems with the turbo cooking the oil nicely, all of that can be work with time and testing, but for a one off it would be terrible expensive, and as far as i know, nobody makes such a small turbo Those 30mm turbos would be great on a 250 to 500 cc engine, and a twin cyl even better (one cyl engines do not like turbocharging, and are a pain in the butt to tune with one) but hey! i can be wrong, so try one on and let us know

that last image has to be the funniest thing ever in regards to a 50cc engine. I think there definitely is a realm of possibility surrounding it lol and honestly if anyone ever made it work... i'd really like to meet the guy... yes i know it is impossible but it would look freaking cool picture that mounted above engine with like 6 foot long handlebars and a seat on top. where is doctor susse now?

How are you going to drive the supecharger? But you seem to have all the right parts for it, do not forget to deck both the head and the block so the head gasket will seal properly ;D You will need to fabricate more than one pulley, in different sizes, so you can play with your boost level ;D

Well its almost time to put away the ruckus and I find myself drawn to the idea of supercharging the little b@stard again. Everyone and their dog is doing a GY6 swap and the 2 stroke options are too dirty for my tastes. I think its high time we re-ignite this issue and see if this can be done. Smartbomb has a lot of knowledge in this kind of thing, Chanito is the man and I'm willing to experiment. Lets get this ball re-rolling. 1st step: Unshrouding the valves and using the grooved squish zone to reduce compression ratio. I think that the enemy of this engine is RPMs. Anything more than 10,000 is trouble.

Rpm limit is easy to solve with better valve springs, combustion chamber work is a must to get away with risky compression ratios, cooling capacity the next challenge, an oil cooler on the pressure side will be a must and it will not be easy to solve, serious machining to the engine block would be required

This is a copy and paste from a Denmark site. He is supercharging honda cf50 engines with an AMR300 supercharger:
Why choose supercharging ? Well, if I had learnt one thing, when playing around with engines, its the fact that rpm kills ! Always choose the engine which produces its peak power,as well as torque, at lower revs. A high winding screamer engine sounds fantastic, but not for long! Supercharging will boost any engines midrange to a degree, that you automatically short- shift through the box! Adding a rev- limiter will save your engine in case of a missed shift. I can sum up the differences between conventional tuning and use of supercharging. If i should extract maximum horsepower from this Honda CD 50 engine using a conventional approach, i would need following parts : A big- port cylinderhead with biggest possible valve-sizes. A camshaft timed for operating at high revs which also lifts the valves further, again to maximise airflow through the engine. A high compression piston, if available, or decreasing combustion- chamber by shaving head. Then a very strong and well- balanced crankshaft assembly, outfitted with top-of-the-line C3 bearings, to handle the much higher than standard revs. An optimised oiling system, including oilcooler. The result would be an engine with a very narrow rev- range, like 10500 to 140000 rpm, necessitating a very close- ratio gearbox with at least 5, or even better 6 speeds. Horsepower figures around 8- 10. In supercharged form, far from fully developed, this engine produces 10- 11 hp and a usable rev range of 8000- 12500. Only non- original parts sums up to be cdi- ignition, hi- volume oil- pump, stiffer valvesprings and an upgraded clutch.
There are a few rules to follow when prepairing any engine for supercharging. Your main enemy will be preignition caused by the very high combustion pressures. You have to eliminate every little thing causing this, or things will get ugly. Three important steps are : 1: Keep compressionratio below 8,5:1. If youre planning to run higher boostpressures than 1,5 bars, c/r should be below 8,0:1 ! 2: Keep temperatures down! Cooling system should be optimised! The Honda 4- stroke singles are oil/aircooled and improving the oilsystem, by mounting a bigger pump, enlarge orifices, and adding an oil- cooler, will take you far. Inlet air should be cooled too. 3: Avoid sharp edges in the combustion chamber, smooth out piston top, chamber edges, valves, and make certain that your head gasket doesnt protrude into chamber. The sparkplug and thread is another item that needs attention. Correct heatrange is vital, From standard NGK C7hs I had to move to a C11hs plug to get it right! Grind and smooth out the unused plug threads in chamber. A sharp edge will heat up and cause a hot spot, and then youll have detonation, instead of a controlled combustion.
Avoid the urge to install a wild- high overlap racecam to extract even more horsepower. The long duration (both valves opened), will leak boost and destroy midrange torque. a near stock cam, maybe with a little more valve- lift will do the trick! A free- flowing exhaust is a must! Add a straight through muffler to a head pipe at least 2mm larger than stock id. To be continued !

I found an Aiain AMR300 supercharger in Finland, so I might get that and start in. I've read it can be "cut down" to a 100. Also contacted the gentleman who made the above bike with the AMR supercharger. Hopefully he'll have some insight.

a very interesting idea indeed. ive always thought a supercharger made more sense on this type machine than a turbo. i found an ineresting link resently that advertised "the world smallest roots style blower", it is reportes to have a 1 inch output tube, and is about half the size if a dollar bill...and best of all it came with an optional electric drive.makes me think ..on demand boost? ive lost the link , ill look for it again and post the link.
