;D Wow! nice congrats, some more details on the install will help ;D ;D[/quote
well its basically plug and play with the $15 wiring harness I bought, with the HID's
Sorry for the crap picture
The green dots are the hid ballast, and connector block. One ballast s hidden so thats why its not marked. The red circle is the plug I tapped into, it has a heavier gauge wire I believe black, maybe a white stripe but look for a fatter black wire. Then make sure to verify with a volt meter it comes on with the switch, reads a strong 12-13v whatever your battery is at the time.
So the harness uses a blue wire for the positive, which goes into the red circle. Then a white for negative which I grounded at the ecu screw
The harness is like 8 feet long so its hidden pretty well, maybe one day I will cut it shorter. The driver bulb wires go through the notch with all other wires. The other bulb wires go down underneath near the steering because even though it has weather proof connections I wanted them as dry as possible.
They really dont get that hot, since they are only 35watt. No more hotter then stock. I did thorough tests on the power loss before and after have it written down somewhere. But in the end I come back home exactly the same amount of voltage as with the stock bulbs, over 13v
The hid harness has a fuse, which I routed near the steering, I can stick my finger in the hole and pull it out. This way if I ever run into battery drain I can unplug the fuse turning off the lights. Only because I need to run the lights more to make sure to me there wont be problems.
My ruckus is going to be a trail bike so I need to make sure im not going to be stranded in the middle of no where. I just got it last week so im riding it all over making sure its all good.
