uhh...well just order the battery that's called the 'YT4B-BS' from Yuasa and toss it in. The terminals are blades instead of posts so you need to get some extra wire and buy some blade connectors and then you're good to go.

I'm not familar with the terms 'CA' and 'CCA' but if they are written on the battery you should be able to see them in the pic at the top of this page. If they aren't just go to YUASA's website (YUASA.com?) and search for the YTZ7S and you should see all the specs. Stuff like amps you should be able to read in the bottom right corner of the pic though.

Oh sorry, Cranking Amps and Cold Cranking Amps, they are basically the amount of stored amperage that a batter has in reserve.

UPDATE: I weighed the Ruck again:
Front: 83 Rear: 99 Total: 182
That's 13 lbs off stock!!! The big players, EXHAUST for sure, '06 PCV Blast Shield, Stock Air box and all the hoses, rear fender, stock blinkers....Lighter = faster for certain.

Nice weights IHAR! I really gotta do mine...the only problem is a don't have a bathroom scale so next time I'm at my parents I'll try to get that done.
In other news, I'm planning to buy a card reader today so I can start posting pic again. Oh and I removed my engine last night for a rebuild this afternoon to stop that oil leak. Hopefully my new seals come in this afternoon.

Normal mods that Make this ride better will reduce weight, you've all hit on most of the best mods. Rolling resistance might be more important? The ruck comes with a dual sport/damn near off road tire. You gain 1-3 mph with a road tire. Of cours I'd assume you've tuned your rollers and carb, you have exhaust, and most crucial a CDI box... the rest of it is looks, I think.
Get road tires.
I'm 255 lbs and pull 45 on stock tires. I've eliminated and upgraded a lot. Tires were the best and biggest change.
I'm replying to an old post but I'm still heavy into my nps50s! Great fun machine for most ages.
