...they'd better be on sale June 12th. I've got a scooter trip to the beach (200kms) July 1st with 2 buddies and I'd like be a lot faster than them instead of just a little

I think he's still got 22 left (24 minus one each for Katrina and Camote) because they haven't gone on sale yet. I think Chanito is gonna sell like 10 on the first day but it'll take a few weeks or maybe the summer to clear the rest out.

Sad but i think DD is right, the gaskets are right on target so they should be here by the middle of June, i will post as soon as i can before it cost me my marriage

Chanito, what advice have you for those of us who wouldn't mind paying for the big bore project but who are absolutely mechanically bereft ... I can't just order your kit and then take it to my local Honda shop: at sixty-five dollars per hour plus the boring and so forth ... it will cost me a fortune!!! What do you recommend?

Hmm...that's a tough call because even if you can get it done somehow within your budget you still will need to do other work on your scooter like rejetting the carb.
One option to consider is just getting a shop manual and some tools and doing it yourself. The shop manual is really good and while the task may seem daunting if you just take it one step at a time and stay organized it's really not that bad. It's a lot of disassembly but nothing about it is hard...you just keep trucking. It's really good for you to learn how to disassemble your engine...
If you don't want to do that I'd say either don't do it, send your whole engine to Chanito (if he offers this service) or go to a cheaper shop. Your Honda dealer is one of the most expensive places you could take it to.
Realistically though, it's not really possible to get a big engine improvement without spending either a lot of money or a lot of time.

I am with DD on this one, the first option should be a hand on, but if not try to find a local motorcycle or boat shop to do the job for you, once i am done with my two engines i might offer the rebuilt service, but there is the back and forth shipping charges to add to any price

What do you recommend? 65/hr is cheap dude, here its 85-100/hr here for local shops. Im taking it to my course mechanic and have him help me through it, so i know how to do EVERYTHING on my bike as far as engine wise goes Chanito, how do we pay for these is it just a straight paypal thing

I was just thinking about something and wondered about some opinions on the subject.
If we ever get the FI model in N America, would there not be less messing around since we wouldn't have to re-jet?
I'm just wondering in case I decide to hang on to my piston till that model comes out if it ever does here...but I'll probably won't be waiting that long anyway. I plan on getting my engine bored during our wet winter days as I want to enjoy the summer months for alap and save my $ for the mods I wish to do at the same time.

When they go on sale you can paypal me, if we get the FI with the 4 valve head, these pistons will not work with that set up, and i doubt i will ever make the 4 valve pistons as these ones have prove to be a lot of work

Oh yeah! Sorry I should have read back about that as it was already talk about.
Well you just let me know when the kit is ready to ship along with shipping. Looking forward to keep a steadier pace up our hilly country side.
