Well, I haven't given up on the head yet hehe But I do have a new piston coming, so you're free to take the old one (it's a little scratched up on the sides) and it's rings and whatnot. Plus, it'd be a lot cheaper to send by mail (1oz versus like six pounds! )

Just for the newbies out there, the cylinder (where the piston slides up and down) is the hole at the right corner of the picture. When Honda says our bikes are 49cc that's because the volume of this hole when the piston is all the way down is 49 centimeteres cubed. You can see the piston down at the bottom of this hole...you can see the cutout for the intake valve specifically. To get a big bore ruckus you need to bore (drill) out this hole so the walls (sleeve) are a bit thinner thus accomodating a bigger piston. Stock the walls are about 7mm thick and we'd like to bore it out so they are about 5mm thick.
The trench/groove around the cylinder is where the coolant flows. This is the view you'd have if you take your head off. The engine is facing up in this picture but in your ruckus it faces forward, notice the location of the center stand.

I email him, hopefully i can get an engine before the year ends, as soon as i get an engine i will be pestering the Wiseco piston again so hopefully we will have our own big piston kit by January, if that is the case, maybe we can sell the kit to BSS and CrowerPower

PomeRuck is thinking about swapping his 2006 engine into his 2005 ruck cuz it's newer and faster which means a bit more delay for this project. However I was thinking about this and he might have some issues. The new 2006 stuff is controlled by the ECM (computer) so you couldn't just swap the engine and expect stuff like the new PCV system to work. He might be better off just taking all the body panels etc from his 05 and putting them on the 06 and then selling you the 05.

This isn't really piston related but I picked up my new crankshaft today so if there's any specs from that, that we might want to know later if say a stroker project happens let me know and I'll take em. I can also measure up the piston tomorrow too.

;D Having the measurement of the outside diameters of the bearings would help, also the distance from the inside of the bearings between them, i figure the piston skirt will be very close to the crank at the bottom of its travel. How close?
