NO YOU WILL NOT HAVE PROBLEM BY USING ENERGY CONSERVING OIL, ACTUALLY YOU SHOULD USE IT. That statement is wrong in the manual, that applies to motorcycle engine that share the crankcase with the clutch so they will not slip due to the friction modifiers that kind of oil has, the ruckus engine crankcase does not share the oil with anything so that is not a concern.

Kerpow! Keep linin' 'em, Chanito'll keep knocking 'em down! Off-topic, have you ever thought of putting a service manual together Chanito? Like along the lines of Kind of a quirky supplement to the owners manual... Something to think about, cause with the amount of info you, DD, and others have contribute could really help people out. I imagine a lot of it is applicable to the metro too...

I just picked up some Mobil 1 last night. Normally I buy the 4.4L jugs but this time I went with a 1 litre of 5w30. I calculated the price and if you bought 4.4, one litre jugs it works out to 36.49$ whereas buying one 4.4L jug is 35.99 so it's really only 50 cents more which is like 5 cents per oil change but for that you get smaller jugs that are easier to pour PLUS (and this is the biggie) they have that clear strip down the side so you can measure how much you've put in. When I changed it last night I was right on first try! Additionally, you can get a few different thicknesses if you buy smaller quantities which makes it easier to adjust to the seasons.

Yikes! i just noticed that DD has blow by me on the post count, back to topic, i also think it makes more sense to buy by the quarts instead of in bulk, you can have diferent weights for diferent seasons
