Abe stated that.
Will that increase performance much? Allow it to go downhill faster? Is it adjustable or easy to change the position of it? Can it just be removed? (unlikely) Thanks. I have been confused by this lol.

AnthonyKovic mentioned another good way to accomplish the same thing, in the derestriction topic. Anthony's way is adjustable and my way is not. This change will increase the max advance as long as everything is OK. If you do it my way you need to find out which direction the motor turns, remove the welded on strip and re-weld it no more than 3/16" closer to the pulser(trigger/pickup) coil. Go 1/16" at a time. If you slot the pulser coil(per AnthonyKovic) it is easier and can be fine tuned for the best advance, without re-welding all the time. I suggested the welded method because with my luck the slotted coil would move . No way is better than another. I'm a person that can touch something and break it, I'm the mechanical "cooler". So it will increase advance and the need for the good gas. Scooters also run at a high RPM so getting the timing right is very important! More advance done right could increase performance.
