I’m struggling to figure out my CVT issues. I initially had problems with my top speed bogging and being reduced dramatically. I realized my kickstarter washer was eating into the crankshaft. Filed it down.. also noticed drive face boss was under spec. Everything seemed to be sitting correctly now, and I got a healthy amount of my top speed back, the bogging still persisted to a lesser degree. A few weeks went by and now I’ve been dealing with a ton of noise with the variator.. I know it is the variator because when I remove it, the noise disappears completely. I torque the nut and everything seems to be seated and tight, so why is this happening? I only realized tonight that the ramp plate to the variator also has some intense marks from the crankcase. The photos are blurry, but you can see the crank case itself has marks and the metal lip around the gasket is actually wearing down and jagged. I’m wondering if the noise is coming from the ramp plate hitting the crank case wall. Is this even normal? Photos: imgur.com/a/GDVuGWeI’m pretty stumped.. any advice is appreciated. Thanks!
