(First post here. Glad I found this place.) I recently bought this light: theruckshop.com/product/trs-slim-strip-led-taillight-with-integrated-directional-blinker-and-flashing-brake-light/Love the look and easy to install. However, my light is now in "Brake mode" where the light is flashing non-stop like the brake is being pressed. The blinkers still work but when put back in running light mode, the light automatically switches to brake/flashing light mode again. Sometimes when I mess with the brake switch cable coming out of the lever, I can get it to work, so it makes me think something might be faulty with my levers or the brake switch itself. The Ruck Shop said I need a new Brake Switch so I ordered that. My local Scooter shop (Scooter Swap Shop) said it's most likely the wiring as they've never heard of a brake switch going bad on a scooter. I checked my wiring according to the diagram on the Ruck Shop website. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. My first step is to install a new brake switch line and see if that solves the problem. Or maybe new brake levers? I'm running the stock ones and I dislike them as it is. Maybe this is my reason to buy new ones...Dang it. ha.

I personally would be suspect of the brake switch. It's a simple system so all you'd have to do to check is run a multimeter to the hot wire for the brake light. If it gets power when you're not on the brakes it's a faulty switch. If the switch tests good it could be something internal bad with the light. It is however possible that you got the constant power for the taillight and the switched power for the brake backwards so checking that with a multimeter is also cheap insurance to perform another idiot check.
