Hey guys, new to the forum and new Ruckus owner. I recently bought a 2016 Ruckus in great shape and completely stock with 3,000kms on it. The thing runs great and tops out around 43mph which is what i would expect. One thing that is driving me crazy however is that it seems to have a very slight hesitation when accelerating off the line at about 1/4 throttle once it gets over that strange hiccup it is smooth as butter throughout the rest of the power band. The bike did not have this hesitation with the original air filter which was super dirty. I replaced the air filter with a brand new Honda OEM filter and noticed this issue immediately. So my assumption has been that maybe the carb is running a tiny bit lean now that its getting better airflow with the new filter. So I figured all i need to do is just loosen the idle mix a touch to enrich the mix. My problem now is that I have no idea where to get a tool to adjust my idle mix screw because its a perfect circle. I accidentally ordered the infamous D shaped socket which most Ruckus owners claim works fine for them but for me the screw is an absolute circle. Can anyone help me figure out which carb tool i need for this 2016 stock carb?

Hey fellow ruckster. The D-socket is thr right tool however what your looking at is a tamper proof cap that needs to be removed in order to get at the screw behind it. You can get it out with some serious ignorance or smash a bolt extractor into it and pull it out, it's not threaded or anything! Removing it is fun for the whole family. If you can't get it out just PM me and I can ship a carb body to you that already has the cap removed. Have fun!
