Let me be the first to say that the gearbox design for the ruckus is extremely simple. It's easy to service, and works great for the every day rider, yet I have an issue with it... The axle that the wheel rides on is supported by one bearing and a pin hole in the swingarm. That's an issue because as the bearing wears more load is transmitted to the swingarm and it is slowly worn out, leading to further bearing wear and unrepairable damage to the swingarm. I want to fix that though, by milling a larger hole in the swingarm and installing a second bearing for the axle to ride on. A second bearing would ensure you could repair a damaged swingarm, reduce rolling resistance, and incrase the performance of the bike as your rear axle isn't flopping all over the place. I hope this can be a talking ground where the idea gets discussed and come to life. How hard could it be? Haha
