Lets get this started off with a link to the filter of the day. www.amazon.ca/dp/B07WK195K3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareThat right there is the pod filter I decided to slap on my 58cc GET Ruckus. I swore I would never use a pod filter when I first got my Ruckus because they don't look stock, aren't great in the rain, and can cause so many issues with tuning. "What happened?" You might ask... I got a stretch kit and the geometry change in the rear shock means I can't use my highly modified stock airbox anymore. I tried the pod filter with 2 different carbs (stock and the scooter swap shop 20mm) and the smallest main jets I had handy (#80 for both) and oddly enough I'm running rich, boggy even, where I used to run 12.0 right on the AFR gauge using my modified stock box +drop in K&N, with an 85 main on a clipped/shimmed stock carb, still a little rich albeit, but it was winter and the temps fluctuated enough to merit it. That was a lot of talk to say if you swap to a cheap pod filter like I did: Shim your needle to the moon to skip the lean midrange and be very mindful of swapping your main jet. A lean midrange is the #1 cause of jetting up on our stock carbs, which leads to rich top ends, which leads to slow Rucks and sad Rucksters. That ends whatever this was. Happy Tuning!

An update after getting some jets. The strange saga continues as I jet further down into oblivion. I tried a 78 and a 75 Main today. The O2 sensor is creeping back to acceptable levels but is still a little rich. Will try a 72 Main in the near future!

Update #2 I looked deep into the heart of my filter and its massively restricted at the flange. 38mm ID where the carb hooks up but closer to 25mm at the filter. What a waste. I ordered a K&N RU-0160 today and hope to get significantly better results with that, some 1.5" radiator hose and a bit of tube. I'll make something sill and post pics for anyone following my general nonsense.

My order was cancelled for the K&N RU-0160 filter so I have now ordered an RU-0155 filter. 1.5" flange with a 3x3" cylindrical filter element. I will make this work.
