i looked but did not see a sticky on this. im assuming non ethanol is better, but do you recommend the highest octane or not? am I wrong in assuming non E is best?

The engines are designed for ethanol fuel as that's the most common gas out there. I run 94, but I have a big bore engine. My friend runs 87 with a 15% ethanol mix in his standard bore no problems whatsoever. It's up to you in the end but Honda does recommend standard fuel for them, at least they do in Canada.

87 octane should be good, higher octane should not make a difference and it is just more expensive
