My 2003 ruckus with 6000miles is leaking oil on the right side. There is oil under the radiator and on the exhaust. I'm not sure where its coming from but i think its the right side seal. Could it be something else? Pic: imgur.com/I38VOHa

It's very common here and there it's the oil seal behind the stator u have to drain the coolant remove the radiator cover and radiator then u need a flywheel puller (cheap like 10 bucks the most) remove the flywheel CAREFULLY!!! You might need a impact wrench for this then try not to scratch the stator when removing the stator do not use power tools the screws strip and snap very easy use a long ratchet for removing and installing everything back together!! Once the stator is off and wire safely out the case and out the way u will see a stator plate and the left side of the crankshaft clean out all the gunk and oil then proceed to remove the stator plate once again use hand tools for this once off behind the the plate u will see the oil see replace please be very gentle they rip very easy and it will leak again if not more if not done properly remove the old seal use oil and lube up the new seal front and back and in the oil seal housing CAREFULLY!! PUSHING ON THE EDGE OF THE SEAL then once again slowly and carefully put the stator plate back on without!!! The seal rubbing or pushing against the crankshaft hard oil it before doing this!! the seal will rip on the crankshaft and at the tip there's a thing u can see for the flywheel notch try not to rip it in that it's then button everything backup using a hand tool

baudou1,
I recently purchased a 2018 Honda Ruckus with the same exact issue. It's leaking from the right side. I am documenting the repair process with detailed instructions and pictures. I'm just waiting on the seal and o-ring to get here so that I can finish the job. Once I get the parts, repair it, and am able to complete the documentation, I will share so that it might help others. I also couldn't find any detailed information or good videos on this exact repair so I decided to document it myself. It's actually a pretty easy repair once you tear into it. I should have everything done by the end of the week.

I should have everything done by the end of the week. Did you end up doing this? By "o-ring," do you mean that rubbery and plastic seal over the shaft? I think I've got the same problem. I already swapped out the outer gasket but still had a leak, so I ordered the shaft oil seal to replace but am stuck getting it out and hesitant to just destroy it.
