I have a 2007 honda ruckus with 1300 miles that had been sitting for awhile and would barely run and replaced the carburetor and fuel pump. After doing so it ran better than it was, however there is a slight bog / hesitation when accelerating from a stop (almost feels like the belt is slipping a bit but the belt is pretty new so I realy don't think that is the issue). Once it gets to about 15 mph its takes off and runs better and tops out around 35 mph maybe just under. Any suggestions on what the issue could be would be appreciated, I read on another thread somewhere that the valves may need to be adjusted but would like to hear other opinions or if anyone has had similar experiences and found a solution.

I don't know anything other than what my friend tells me. Rejetting the carb sounds like your best option though. I'm having similar issues as well.
