Light Question for newbie

Hey guys I bought my first Ruckus yesterday.  Noticing a few things about the lights. 

1. Do the headlights stay on at all times the Ruckus is running?

2. My brake light works but should the tail light be on when the lights are on?

Yes to both. Most scooters these days have the lights on all the time, it’s a safety/visibility thing.
