Pretty desperate for suggestions. I have a 2011 ruckus that started to lose power 2 years ago, I stopped riding it and now I want to ride it again and it won't run. I have replaced the gas, the battery, fuel filter and fuel pump. I have cleaned the carburator two separate times, first time I dunked in carb cleaner, second time I blew all the Jets out and blasted the entire thing with air. both times it looked pretty clean.
The ruckus will start electronically and die out (1-2 seconds). It will turn over kick started and die out (1-2 seconds). I have used starting fluid to get it reving but that is a small increase in run time and a noticible power increase but dies out after it's burned up. I am pretty sure the fuel line is not clogged, fuel pump shoots gas through it fine and the bowl of the carburator has gas in it. What else can I try?
Questions I have..
Will a ruckus not run at all on 10% ethonal? I used premium for 5+ years but the closest gas station does not have premium..so I've been trying the lower level.
What role does the starting enrichment valve play? Will it prevent a ruckus from starting?
What does the pilot screw do? Should I take it out and clean?
Sort of doubt it is a fuse issue but what fuses could prevent the ruckus from running.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
