Hey everyone,
I have read through these threads and have finally registered, need some advice. Got a new project after completing the first one here is link if anyone wants to check out my run around on the first project.

If this specific question has been asked I apologize for not finding it prior to this post. Redoing a lot to my first Ruckus I did not have the pleasure to work with the '06 and up model new PVC valve system.
I got this new bike used I will describe the details and photo's along with the question to make this easy to either give me some good advice or point me in the right direction.
Previous owner had the bike jetted for the MNNTHBX exhaust not sure which exact model but he said it fell off in traffic so I have a cut pipe angled off the fatty tire. Also to note a small dent in what's left of the 8 inch header pipe midway. I'll get to the question that surrounds that.
-2012 Ruckus 2500 miles
-Daytona CDI
-Fresh gas with seafoam added
-Carb cleaned and lines flushed
-Intake setup
-Carb jets were set up for the MNNTHBX GP exhaust per "Greg's" recommendation 38,85
My question is the intake was set up with the barb on the main intake hose going to the PVC to filter the air. It also had a metal fitting between the the hose and filter.
I wanted to clean it up a bit so I changed the main intake tube with a new one same diameter and angle to not change the turbulence flow. I attached a small uni filter on the PVC and a new uni on the carb along with a new uni filter on the main intake switching from the old falling apart metal mesh pod. It started the hesitation around 20mph and when I give it some more juice it picks right back up.
Prior to this it ran to open throttle fine. I rode around with my 5.56 casing and did slight adjustments to the air/fuel mix every few moments and it did get much better and is almost gone but still slightly feel it.
Now with the exhaust being only a "tip twisted" 8 inch header pipe, I have ordered the Carbon Yoshi exhaust that should be here in a week or so.
Should I wait for the exhaust too see any real improvement in that acceleration gap? I feel I am just being impatient about it, but it did run a lot more solid with the original intake setup. I have checked the spark plug after a nice ride and it came out clean as it should at least.
If photo's will help I will post just let me know.
Any thoughts?
Thanks,
