I have one. It is good for most mechanical questions and has a decent wireing diagram but it is fairly unhelpfull in figureing out the mysteries of the ECM. It is avilable online about $10 cheaper than the dealers charge. frosty

You might also wish to consider getting the Honda Common Service Manual. It has lots of good stuff that the Model Specific (i.e., Ruckus) service manual does not cover, and is an education in itself. In particular, it provides good theory of operation information. In some cases, it also provides better details than the Model Specific service manual. For instance, I am attempting to rebuild my 1985 CB700SC starter motor. The CB700SC service manual has much less useful information on reassembling the starter motor than the CSM. I got mine from Helm, Inc www.helminc.comNote: my comments are based on my more active service efforts on the CB700SC, rather than the Ruckus. Thus far, I've done nothing to the Ruckus besides put gas in it. Jim (northern IL) 2003 Red Ruckus

Here a link for the service manual. Its 36.95$ plus shipping which is 42.93$ in the USA and 46.24$ Canada. I'm not sure what the USA shipping charges are for the Helm site but they're about 10$ cheaper to Canada on this new link. www.repairmanual.com/catalog/61GEZ02I'm still looking for someone selling them online in Canada so the shipping is less and I don't have to pay tax.

I don't know why your dealer would said such a thing, manual are a great source of information if you are a do it yourself type and still great if you are not

I bought the Helms rucuks manual and the CSM online and they are good manuals. Much better quality than what Hanes is putting out now a days and if you've been around a few service manuals you will see that Helms are pretty good. The manuals won't hold your hand all the way through the job but if you are comfortable enough to work on your ruck you will be fine with these manuals. Plus you have all of us to answer the questions you might have that the manuals don't answer for you!. ;D

Whats the CSM online? Is that an equivilent to the Helms manual? If so which do you prefer and how much was the CSM?

Sorry, I should have put a comma there. Helms sells a CSM(Common Service Manual)for Honda, and I believe they print all the service manuals for Honda. I bought the 2 manuals online right from the Helms site and bit the bullet on the duty. I know what you mean though I usually try and find a Canadian supplier. Paying tax on tax really bugs me.
