That used to be a great mod, before they started making aftermarket shocks for the ruckus, ther is a how-to about it, you will have to search it

I bought a set of internal fork springs from Otto springs off of eBay for $32 delivered.i also bought a rear shock from a ch80 Honda scooter for six bucks.fits and works great for the rear, and you don't have to modify the air box. The Otto springs worked OK but they were about an inch shorter than stock. Also for the front end form century spring corp at only $2.43 each I installed exterior springs onto the outside of the fork legs. Now the ruckus suspension is well sorted, is a ton more fun, and works like it should. So,for about fifty bucks and a little labor, my ruckus now ROCKS

Bought the Otto springs...easy to install and improved front suspension.....found a older Elete rear shock on ebay that fit in nicely and much stronger than stock Ruckus....really cheap mods and now the Ruckus runs fine across the pastures of Oklahoma...
