I have an '04 Ruckus and I put the Dr. D Exhaust on it. I love the way it sounds and everything but the acceleration and top and decreased since I put it on. It also has troubling starting up and idling. What is the issue and how can I fix it?? Thanks, PONYBOY

First off...Stay Gold. I noticed you didn't say you re-jetted, so if you didn't I'd bet dollars to donuts that's your issue.

Remember Folks.....the Ruckus is an extremely Low Power, Slow Scooter that has a great deal of engineering design put into it's fuel and exhaust systems to squeeze every bit of the teensy-tiny horsepower available out of it....if You do one thing, it requires doing something else. Exhaust Mods require Carb Mods, etc. I tinkered with cutting, drilling, and re-baffling stock air boxes (finally hit a combo with 2 more MPH top speed and a lot more acceleration) to the point of barely run 20 MPH. Tedious Little Engines at best. "Most" Mods that give Top End Speed Improvement, generally kill Climbing Speeds...Acceleration Improvements generally kill Top End Speeds.....Don't "over-expect" on Your results when doing Exhaust Mods, You generally get mostly "Sound"....like the Old Saying, You can't beat Larger Engine Displacement for True Gains.....
