Long story short, the 2009 ruckus has a new filter system and a yoshimura exhaust. I have tried needle shims, main jets, pilot jets, still cant find a solution. Tried 80-88 with the stock pilot and it was too lean. Tried shimming the needle with the same as above and it was still hot. Next I adjusted the pilot jet from a 35 to a 38 and even 88 mj was hot. I proceded to adj the slow just to a 40 and the acceleration was awesome, however, the 88 main jet was still too lean. Should I purchase some more main jets and see if something in the 90's will suffice? The air intake set up is as follows:
K&N straight off the back of the carb. I have a breather filter on the pcv valve. I used a vaccum T to attach another breather filter to the pair check valve off the head as well as the side of the carb... Thanks for any help. I can take pics if needed.
