Has any one tried out the Dr. Pulley Clutch from Scootertronics? I've purchased one a bit ago. I like it a lot, BUT I feel like it's not working right. It chews up my belt very quick, and I'm getting some pretty bad vibrations tickling me as I ride. If anyone has any advice on what to do to improve this device please let me know. Oh and I've already talk to scootertronics they say its the space but I've checked it and it is nice and smooth with no flaws.

Usually most problems with clutches have to do with lubrication (or lack of it) so most can be fix by taking it apart clean it, make sure there is no nicks or bumps that will prevent smooth movements of its components, re-lube and reassembly, vibration is almost always an indication that one of the clutch pads is not engaging properly

My dr pulley clutch from scootertronic was working good, but i had to change the spacer with 5mm length, scootertronic was sent 2mm. Ussualy slip/vibration was happened after half hour riding because of too hot. I made 2 holes at cvt cover, 1 below drive face and 1 below bell clutch. Your belt chewed quickly because of slip happenned badly on the rear pulley. Dont use stock jog contra spring, use stiffer spring, at least 1000rpm or 1500rpm. If vibration still happen, use red or green pillow spring to make it not too fast lock. And try to use lighter roller weight, may be 5 - 5.5 gram. Your problem is the common, dont worry. After i knew the secret, and talked to Paul from union material, now i dare to use bigger dr pulley clutch (131602 - 112mm) with jog 90 rear pulley, modified big bell clutch and longer belt of course. With dr pulley clutch, ussually belt slip will happened because of too soft contra spring, too soft pillow spring or too heavy roller. I hope can help.

Thanks for the info Cokiaja. Here's a little more info about my bike and clutch. I run a clear/open swing arm cover, so the over heating is not an issue. I've got a 1500, and 2000 rpm spring to try out next. But I'm not too sure how this clutch comes apart. It's a bit different than the stock one. Any advice? And with your clutch what happens to be your top end? I hit 45-47 flat out with the stock. I'm just wondering if I might lose top end with the Dr. Pulley clutch. Thanks again for all your helpful info.

Good stock clutch you have, lucky you. If you can hit 45-47 with stock, just keep it. What dr pulley for? Just curious maybe? My stock clutch was only hit 40-42, thats why i replaced with dr pulley. And need much time to setup dr pulley clutch, really, i was almost desperate. Once you knew the secret, and the next will so fun while setup. My advice for you is keep using your stock clutch and start to play with heavier final gear like kitaco or metropolitan gear. Hope you can get more "fun" when hit 50ish. My last setup with dr pulley and kitaco's final gear was hit 51 on the flat road, but two days ago i replaced it with met final gear set, and setup has not done yet, it has still same performance with kitaco. Experiments never end...ha..ha..
