Hey everyone, im new to the Ruckus world. I just bought my first last week. I picked up an '06 Urban Camo Ruck. I have a few questions regarding performance mods. I live in a pretty hilly area. I'm just wondering what are the best performance mods i can do to help increase and maintain my speed up hills. Should i get a new air filter, exhaust, variator kit, flywheel or all of the above? You tell me. Thank you for the input.

Welcome and congrats on the purchase. This article was helpful to me when I was looking at variators. www.battlescooter.com/37.htmlAs far as the rest of the mods you are asking about I'm not sure. I live south of you and went with the Daytona drag variator. Still loses speed up hills but not as bad as stock. I live on a hill and stock I was dropping to 25 up it and after I can hold 30 on the same hill. I did gain a few mph on flats and can usually do 40. I did get up to 50 today bombing down a hill and stock I could only get about 43.

Awesome, thanks for the info. Are there any Ruckus meets up here?? Hey man congrats! There's lots of us in your area! You should look into the Northwest Ruckus Alliance on TotalRuckus.com As for the variator, I've been advised to get the KN variator over others. It's still in the mail so I don't know for sure yet. But welcome! Hit me up on here or TotalRuckus anytime if u need help with anything. My user name there is NatronOrDie.

My neighbor has both the KN and polini and advises the KN. That's what he rocks and he passes the polini's. So there!
