So - I'm riding a 2009 Honda ruckus. I recently changed the air filter to the KN drop-in and I've installed the Daytona drag.
I've experienced better acceleration - but my top end is the same?? I'm getting 35 to 37 flat-out can anyone help?

Check the basics, tire pressure and oil level

Did you stick the old filter back in to see if the performance went back to what it was?

35-37mph is a bit slow for a 2009 Ruckus so a check of the basics is in order. Do what Chanito suggested, and I would also look at stuff like your rollers, drive belt, valve gaps etc if your milage is somewhat high (ie. >3000 miles).
With that said, the K&N filter and Daytona drag exhaust do not usually come with top speed improvements. The K&N filter improves air flow a bit at lower RPMs (ie. acceleration) but the air filter really isn't the bottle neck at high RPMs (the valves and intake manifold seem to be) so you don't really gain high RPM power.
The Daytona Drag exhaust usually doesn't mean a performance increase because the stock exhaust performs reasonably well (ie. not overly restrictive) and most aftermarket pipes are designed more for looks than performance. You do get a big increase in looks and noise though.
Give your Ruckus some maintenance and you should be able to cruise at around 40-42mph.

Thanks for the input fellas.
So, I've changed the oil and ordered a new spark plug. Its not a Daytona exhaust, its the daytona variator, thus the disappointment in top end.
I do think the pick-up is better, but I would like to squeeze more than 37MPH.

The bike has 1000 miles on it.
