I have a 09' Ruckus NPS50S with just over 1K miles. It sat for a year and I've been trying to get it started for the last 2 months. I've taken apart the carb, cleaned it out thoroughly a few times. Replaced the spark plug, charged the batteries, drained the old gas and replaced with fresh gas.
I've gotten it to idle rough for a few minutes and it stalls. It won't start back up until it sits for a couple hours. Besides that if it does idle roughly the second I touch the accelerator it stalls.
Please help, I want to ride the Ruckus and it doesn't want to give me a ride.

???Always check compression, on the ruckus is high about 200 psi, more than likely you will need a valve adjustment

Sounds like the air screw needs adjusting and check the shims on the valves. i took sand paper to my intake shim and that got it going.

I'm real new to this scooter when it comes to maintenance. Any pictures would be greatly appreciated or DIY thread.

There is one on valve adjustment on the do it yourself section

Any Help would be appreciated!! I had the same problem...Couldn't figure why my 08 wouldn't start after running an errand. Fiddle around with the red on/off switch on the right hand grip. I quickly turned it on/off about 20-30 times. It seems to have been stuck in the off position even tho it was in the on position, Never had a problem after that......Good Luck!
