Hey guys just got a ruckus on Monday and i love it. But I'm kinda of worried that the dealer I bought it from was kinda of lackadaisical on my scooter setup. Reason why I'm saying that is because the battery was dead when I picked up my ruckus. I'm thinking they should of given me a new battery. Anyways now I'm questioning everything. What can I do to make sure everything is ok? Also do you i should of gotten a new battery?

Im pretty clueless. that being said, the first place i went to buy my ruckus this year had a bunch of dirty uncared for new ruckii. i prob would have bought one if the dealer wasnt a jerk. Went somewhere else and got a clean well maintained one. personally i would think if youre buying new and you're paying freight/setup that everything should be well maintained and ready to go. setup/freight is pretty expensive and i take pretty expensive pretty seriously. Also if u dont mind what was the out the door price? ooh, and let me be the first to

The battery should have been charged and checked, before you had it delivered to you, but i do not think you needed a new one, as most came with a dead battery and the dealer is suppose to charge it before delivery , as adjusting the brakes and fill the fuel tank

Has anyone had an issue with their lights getting brighter and dimmer depending on whether you speed up or slow down? I'm concerned it might be a sign of bad wiring? New '09 put 70 miles on it, besides that it seems to be fine.

When you stop the lights do dim out then you'll notice when you accelerate they brighten back up but charge your battery up if that doesn't work just go back to the place it is a brand new scooter and driving it around helps a new battery go for a long ride get the hang of the ruck. Good luck
