My Ruckus won't stop blowing the main fuse!!!

Hi, I just bought a 2004 Ruckus 50cc. It has 450 miles and is in awesome condition!! The electric start didn't work when I bought it and they said the battery was dead. Today I bought a new battery at Honda. I installed it and it still didn't work. So I tested all the fuses and the main fuse was blown. So I replaced it and it started right up with the electric start!!! But the second I turned the ignition off.......the bike goes dead and the main fuse is blown.No lights, horn, starter......nothin!! The second I change it out everything works.....but only till i turn it on and off. Then blown again! I've been through 4 main fuses within the five minutes and now I'm just frustrated! Can someone please help me!! Thanks.... Jason

or maybe battery is hooked up backwards?

That is frustrating. Finding the cause can be a real pain. Make sure everything is dry and then start by inspecting the wiring to see if it's pinched or grounded or something else.
