Hello everyone. My name is Neil, and I have been turned into a Ruck-a-holic.
Here she is the day I bought her with just under 1000 miles on 'er:
That was April. As soon as I got it home, I did the easiest mods that I had been reading about over at the TR.......re-locate the horn to the JDM location, and re-locate the front markers to parallel with the headlights.
And it had spiraled out of control ever since.
The next pics are my mods over the summer in progression:
~relocated the PCV valve. Got an aftermarket coolant reservoir. Picked up the PasswordJDM "rising sun" radiator cover.
~removed the rear taillight assembly, and shaved off the bracket. Installed the Yamaha R6 sequential taillight mounted under the seat. At this point, I had not shaved off the entire bracket.
~Ordered up the Kajima Wave headlight. Removed the cargo/floorpan plastic.
~picked up a K&N filter set-up.
~removed the rear fender. Shaved off a bracket from the exhaust. Re-sprayed the muffler gloss black. Picked up the PasswordJDM plate re-locater. shaved off the rest of the taillight bracket. Sanded, bondoed, and sanded some more. Then re-painted the tail section of the frame.
~mocking up my newest pieces, getting ready for the first BIG transformation. Carbon fiber front fender. Foot bars w/pegs. Tank cover. Lowered seat frame. The only thing bolted on right here is the seat frame. Everything else is going to go get painted!
~decided to liven up the radiator cover a bit. Thought it would look cool with the aluminum radiator behind it. What do you think?
~fitting the new front marker lights. They are off of a JDM EF chassis (88-91 honda for those who don't dig the jive) like the one I have in the first pic.
~started a full-on wire tuck. the extension kit just arrived today actually. Will be finishing the tuck this week if all goes well on other fronts. Picked up a NCY rear adjustable shock (may be trading up soon though....). Waiting for hardparts to return from paint shop, and seat to return from fabric shop. You'll have to stay tuned for completed pics and what color everything is going to be!
