Hi, I have an 06 Ruckus w/3300 mi. I bought it used at 1900 miles. Have had to charge the battery up 6mos. ago as wouldn't start with Electric starter, only when kick started. So as of late it decreasingly started with electronic started so kick started it. Charged battery and upone initial start up-started up fine with electronic start. next am wouldn't start--so kick started it and ran it a lil bit like 3 miles. it still won't start after like 5 days of this. so i had my husband check all battery connectiions and the fuses in fuse box. HOw to tell if one is blown? he reconnected battery and then she started. next morning nothing again had to kickstart. Lights come on and i get the clicking sound everytime. Any Suggestions?

You can tell if the fuses are blown just by looking at them, they will not have a break in the metal from one side to the other. The clicking you hear, tells you that the battery is not charged enough or the wiring is not grouned good enough or there is corrsion in the connection. The battery should show it has atleast 13 volts when fully charged, if not, you need a new battery. Also try and ride atleast 15 miles to keep the battery charged up. Please keep us posted on what was wrong.

???I disagree, with the engine off, 12.6 volts should be enought to consider the batt fully charge, and with the engine running at 3500 rpm 13 volts should be OK, this engine at idle sometimes are under 12 volts, looking at a fuse is not enough to tell if they are blown or not, the best way is with an ohmeter across both legs, or with a test light. a test light is just a 12volt light bulb attached to a long wire with an alligator clip at the end and a point at the other end, so you clip the cable to a ground source and use the point to find powwer if it lights up, then you have power, a good fuse will have power at both ends with the ignition on. Check the relays, the sofisticated charging/starting system on the ruckus uses a power relay and a load cut relay, to prevent draining the batt when the engine is not running, it seems your load cut relay is getting stuck
