Hey Everyone! Just picked up my first Ruckus this weekend. It definitely needs some TLC. It is a 03 theft recovery so it has busted stuff on it but on the upside I picked it up for a mild $700. It runs great. I can't wait till I'm done with it. I'll post some pics of the progress. Here's the day I picked it up 9/13/09. 9/14/09 Here's day 2 after about 30 min of tear down. My buddy Scott is in the photo tinkering with the motor. If you notice, the front wheel is a little askew, not sure why. Anyone have any ideas? Here the end of day 2. Parts are on order. Yes there are 2 other Rucks in the picture. Thanks for looking. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

So I've been gone for a little while. I've been a little busy. Turns out the Ruck was in worse shape than I thought. It runs like a champ, but, it turns out that it had been stolen, wrecked and recovered. Just to note some of the damage: -Both front forks bent -Steering stem bent -Handle bars bent -Headlight bracket bent -Grips shredded -Levers f--ked -Ruck was layed over -Battery box jacked and cracked -Ignition gone -Battery dead -Floor boards shredded -Fenders shredded -Gas cap pried off -Gas tank screwed (see above) -Etc. This is what was left after the tear down inspection.

Looking good so far. Keep it up! Any chance you're going to sell that red battery box?

That would be great. Are there any stock parts you need? I've got spares of quite of a few things.

It seems you need two of the few things I don't have extra of. Did you have any trouble painting the front frame? I'm looking to do that myself soon. Is the red BB just scratched up? Is it cracked or missing some of the screw tabs on the front section where the back connects to it?

You wouldn't happen to have the an extra front half of a variator would you? Mine is marred up.
The frame is easy to paint. Just take your time and lay the paint on thick where ever a rock may hit.
The battery box has chunks missing. LOL. It was broken open when it was stolen.
