I certainly think that calls for more pix and more info.

Yes, we need profile pics so we can see better how it's mounted. What seat frame did you use? stock or a lowered model? How much difference does it make?

Ok. So first of all the seat is the standard type and because i`m a cheepass and do not want spend any money on look stuff from stores i prefer to make it my own . First i wanted to do a lowered seat but a friend of mine came up with the idea so we cut the back parts with a grinder and then drilled a hole in the metal that was left. By an extraordinary coincidence the shocks were almost the same size. I don`t actually use them for comfort but if u want to it`s pretty easy. i899.photobucket.com/albums/ac198/omuprajturik/DSCF1863.jpgThe point of removing the lower bolt is that the seat will pivot on the other two and will not bend . And that`s all folks . PS i have no idea what kind of spring they are but i got them of two bicycles that i got for 2 bucks off a yard sale

Basically any two shocks that are very close in length would work. You wouldn't want them too long though or they'd jack up the back of the frame. Really cheap bike rear shocks tend to suck though so there might not be much of an improvement.

I have been thinking of doing this for 4 years did you do anything to make the front pivot? I had the idea of welding rod bearings on the end of the 2 tubes.

the pics are gone, but i think he just took the upper bolts out of the front so that it'd pivot on the lower bolts. kinda ghetto, but it works. i think i'd add nyloks to the bottom bolts to keep them from backing off too much.
properly done, of course, would require some bearings or bushings welded on the bottom of the front frame.
