yah when i first saw it.. i didnt like it.. neither did i like the prius.. but after thinking about it forever.. decided to test drive one.. pretty cool.. one thing i realy like about it is the fact that it has paddle shifters on the steering wheel.. this is an EX version.. so you can put it in S (sport) mode.. and shift away.. the CVT has 'fake' shift points.. so basically u can run thru 7 gears.. so if i dont feel like saving gas.. just put in S and go.. the electric motor assisting with all that low end torque.. really gets up and goes.. i think it will help me here in the mtns.. with that factored in.. it started to grow on me.. i took 2 test drives.. then decided this was it.. best of both worlds.. save $ with gas.. my wife gets paid mileage.. it will basically pay the monthly payment easy.. and then i could easily put in S mode for fun.. handles great.. i'll know more as i put more miles on it..

my new ruckus.. haha Love the color, not so much the styling. Reminds me of our 70's green station wagon. Brady Bunch style. Interesting though, your description of how it works.. hmmm

It isnt sport mode... its standard mode... Nothing sporty about it... Get any trophies on your green driving yet? lol... i read it was sport mode and i have seen it referred to 'sport' mode in insight forums.. however in the manual it just says '7 shift mode' and on LX says 'second'.. who cares.. its pretty sport if u want it to be.. however it defeats the purpose of having a hybrid.. i am half way towards getting the first 'trophy'.. i am still learning to keep it green.. which is hard here in the mtns.. up hills its hard to keep green and keep your momentum unless i downshift.. i did drive it again to charlotte and this time i got 56.1mpg on hud.. i went well over 250 miles before it went past half tank.. its only 10gal tank.. so does pretty good.. went from having to get gas in my jeep to one fill up or less a week now.. so saving atleast $80-100 /week.. payin for itself already..
