They run better after they break in. Wind is the enemy, lower your seat, get a windshield and let her break in.

Get a variator, belt, and some rollers/sliders. If you're heavier you will most likely want your rollers in the 5.4 - 6 gram range. Rollers u can take a round file to on the inside to lighten. You can also shave your drive face a bit so that the belt pushes out more. Tune first, then search Google style for the drive face shave. Hint: TR

The KN variator from webike is a good option for the heavier fellas. It's like 40 bucks if u register on the site. Crazy Asian price with crazy Asian shipping. I got mine in around 4 days from Japan. Love that site.

I don't know I'm a big guy and went with 5.9g in my polini and dropped down to 35mph max on flats. My acceleration was good but my top end left something to be desired. Went back to stock and bounced right back to 43 mph. I'm thinking I might try the 6,9g and see what that does for me.

ya know, thats weird. Im the same way. Im running 7g sliders. I think my sweet spot is 6.7-6.8. Its like every ruck is different or something haha. All the ppl i ride with need way lighter rollers, but if i go even 6.5 my low and high end start sucking.

Yeah, polini with 6.9g weights in it, now I'm laying down between 45-47 mph on flats depending on the wind direction. I have to agree with you as well that my sweet spot is probably between 6.8 and 6.7 to keep good acceleration and good top end.
