I have read through this entire section but I am still confused about how to properly maintain my Ruckus. It seems that oil needs to be changed every 600 miles with 10W-40 dyno oil, and the scooter needs to be taken on long rides at least once a week if I am not riding it more than a few miles a day.
The coolant just needs to be topped off when it gets low with a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water.
When do the air filters/spark plugs need to be changed, and when do I need to change the gear oil? Anything else I need to do to maintain my Ruckus.

the service manual say to change the spark plug and air filter every 2400 miles. for the thing about riding a long time once in a week it only apply to 2003-05 models. and for the gear oil I don't know, I might check that in the service manual.

Isn't it 24,000 miles for the plug and air filter? Anyways, I would change the air filter once a year or sooner if you ride in dirty conditions. I would replace the plug annually and the gear oil every 2 years or 10,000 miles. The coolant should never get low but yeah you can top it up with a 50/50 mix if this does happen. You should change it every few years. Basically, do the oil every 600 miles and then do an annual service of your airflter, plug, valve gaps etc and do your trans oil and coolant every 2 years or so.

Nice research...those are good guidelines. Change the plug more often if you've modified your Ruckus though (and thus rejetted).
