Help with Rust.....

Hi all,

I picked up a used '06 bike and i spotted a little rust above the front lights. Was wondering what product i could put on it to remove it safely (it's on my white paint) and what to put on to further protect it from getting rust. Unfortunately she's not garage kept but i do have a nice felt lined cover for her and i use her pretty much daily. Thanx a bunch!

I would use WD40 or a rust prevention spray like Krown to prevent further rust. Both of these keeps moisture out of cracks etc. To get rid of your Rust, if it's really light you could wipe it off or take it off with a bit of gasoline. If it's heavier you could sand it off or use a rust removing chemical like C.L.R. Once you've got it off, maybe give it a bit of paint to protect the area but be careful not to get overspray on other areas.
