Okay how do you test the BYSTARTER? And how does the ECU know when to turn on the voltage? Is there a temp sensor somewhere? I've searched both the active Ruckus forums and found this post referencing it but no "how to": www.totalruckus.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=4778&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0 I've read everything I could find on the BYSTARTER and it seems that it FAILS on..that is unless it gets voltage that heats it up and expands the spring...failed it leaves the "choke" open/on. One comment in the post above said they go bad it the bike sits...mine had been sitting for quite a while when I bought it. It's 100 degrees here and I'm at 2500 ft.....no need for choke. To recap my trouble shooting so far: Now after cleaning EVERYTHING in the carb a second time and looking at the BYSTARTER... If I get it STARTED....it runs PERFECT once it's running and "warmed up"... I think the BYSTARTER "works" if it gets enough time....it idles perfect and runs WIDE open fine tells me the slow and main jets are fine...fuel supply is fine...air is fine. After all the work I believe it's not starting do to being rich...you can smell the fuel. I'm down to buying a new complete CARB... I need to get this thing on the road! HELP!

Did you install the diaphragm properly? sometimes the needle can get stuck if the diaphragm is not installed correctly, therefore causing a rich condition

I think so... It seated all the way around and everything looked lined up before I put the spring and the "lid" on.
